The Mobile Consumer To Business Schools: Hello?
Eduvantis recently presented summary findings on the rising importance of mobile strategy at the annual AACSB B-School Communications and Development Symposium in Tampa. Our research identified examples of how business schools are “going mobile” as a means to achieve competitive advantage—in this massive growth segment of the prospect population. We profiled how schools are encouraging students to explore campuses and city life (INSEAD, Darden), supporting alumni engagement (HULT), enabling career services support (SMU Cox), and allowing prospective student to apply directly through the mobile website (Columbia).
Our research also highlighted how a vast majority of business schools are not adapting to the soaring expectations of their mobile stakeholders – within the top 100 ranked US News business schools a minority were using a mobile strategy to connect with their stakeholders. This is a massively missed boat.
